According to the American Pregnancy Organization, a Postpartum Doula is a non medical professional who provides evidence based information on things such as infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from birth, parent-baby bonding, and basic newborn care. A Postpartum Doula supports families in the first days and weeks after bringing baby home.
