Welcome to stepbystepdoulasupport.com operated by Step by Step. We provide online courses, coaching services, workshops, and educational resources designed to support new and expecting parents.

By accessing or using our website, enrolling in a course, participating in coaching or workshops, or using any of our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply.

1. Who Our Services Are For

Our services are intended for adults, including new and expecting parents. Our content is educational and supportive in nature and is not a substitute for medical, psychological, or professional healthcare advice.

Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for concerns about your or your child’s health.

2. Educational Services

We could provide a variety of services, including self-paced courses, live/recorded workshops, one on one or group coaching sessions, and educational downloadable materials. While we aim to provide evidence-informed parenting education, individual results and experiences will vary based on unique family circumstances.

3. Payments, Refunds, and Cancellations

Currency & Taxes: Prices for courses, coaching, and workshops are listed in Canadian dollar (CAD) and are subject to applicable taxes (HST).

Price Changes: We reserve the right to adjust fees for our services at any time; however, price changes will not apply to services already purchased.

Cancellation Policy: We require at least 48 hours’ notice to reschedule a coaching appointment. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in the loss of your deposit or reservation fee.

No-Show Policy: If you do not attend a scheduled appointment without prior notice, the reservation fee is non-refundable.

Refunds: We generally do not provide refunds. Any refunds issued will be in our sole discretion and determined on a case-by-case basis.

4. Intellectual Property

All materials—including videos, worksheets, recordings, and text—are the exclusive property of Step by Step or its licensors.

Limited License: You are granted a personal, non-commercial license to use these materials.
Prohibitions: You may not share, copy, resell, or distribute our content without our express written permission.

5. Coaching Disclaimer

Coaching services are educational and supportive, not therapeutic or medical treatment. We do not diagnose conditions or provide medical advice. You remain fully responsible for your parenting decisions and outcomes.

6. Community Guidelines

If courses or workshops include group discussions or community spaces, you agree to:

Be respectful and supportive of other parents
Avoid sharing harmful, misleading, or promotional content
Maintain confidentiality of others’ shared experiences

We reserve the right to remove content or participants that do not follow these guidelines.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Step by Step will not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of our website or services. Our total liability, where permitted by law, is limited to the amount paid for the service in question.

8. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of your personal information are governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and protect your personal information.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on the website with a revised date. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada. Any legal disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Toronto, Ontario.
